When bed bugs feed, they inject saliva into your skin. The saliva contains anticoagulants and anesthetics. This can cause bumps and rashes typical of other insect bites. if you think you have bedbugs you may see small spots of blood on the bed linen, which occurs when the bedbugs bite.
Bed bugs usually only take a few minutes to feed and bed bugs do not need to feed again for long periods. They can survive for weeks after feeding once. Getting rid of them before they establish a colony is much easier than having to deal with large infestations.

There have not been any proven links to bedbug bites and diseases. Most will suffer from itching and swelling like that of a mosquito bite. A few rare cases may experience an extreme allergic reaction with symptoms such as going into a state of shock, nausea, and even feelings of illness. Luckily these allergic reactions are not very common.
Research has said that bed bugs bite in a linear pattern of three bites so if you have three consecutive bites about your skin then you may have been bitten by a bed bug. Bites from bed bugs are usually red in appearance and can be either flat or raised bumps, but in some people the bites might not be very clear at all.
Bed bugs can travel on your clothing, shoes and bags. They tend not to travel directly on your skin, they prefer to feed off of you and after feeding they go back into hiding.
Any joint in your clothing or luggage are great hiding and hiding areas for bed bugs. They can even hides in the shoes and crevices of your shoes. This way they can follow you to work or even friends' and families' homes.
How to Use Glue Traps
Its a very easy and simple trap to use!
Simply place a glue trap anywhere where bed bugs might hide; such as between the bed mattress and base, in clothes drawers, wardrobes, closets, under sofa's, behind cushions, and under beds.
Place a trap at each corner of your bed between your mattress and bed base with the side marked ‘This Side Down’ facing down or you can place trap under sofa cushions, or in your drawers, closets, wardrobes, or under the bed. Make sure you check your Bed bug alert traps frequently, daily is better.
